32x32 Character Pack the character wears a dark gambeson with plated elbows and knees. Horns naturally grow out of the figures head potentially representing it's demonic origins.

Yet all is left up to interpretation as you are the creator of this character's world and may edit the character however you please to fit your style. This pack will provide you with plenty of animations and references to aid you as a developer and artist.

58 animation strips for each direction are included in the following directions:

East, North, North East, North West, South, South East, South West, West, Top View

An extra perspective that is within this pack is named Top View; which is styled in a way similar to a Table Top Roleplaying Game's graphics. The Top View can be rotated around to cover every direction; which could be a simpler alternative from the traditional 8 directional artwork.

With the various sprites contained within this package you could easily mix various sprites together to make your own flashy moves.

Example 1: Transition into a fighting stance using snippets of 2 different animation strips.

Example 2: Spinning, created with all 8 directions of the Two Handed animation named "Horizontal 1" found in the Fighting Styles category.

The Horned Fighter Pack also contains the character's body parts separated in all 9 directions including arms, legs, torso, and head to assist in creating your own custom poses with the character if you should need them. This is so you will not have to crop out the arms yourself and always have body parts you may need to animate or draw readily available

This pack includes a Unity Package with all the sprite animations placed and sliced to help save you the time it would take to import the full package into Unity.

The folder's animation controllers are organized with two main folders; the first is named Preview which contains a list of all the animation strips organized neatly together.  You can run the game and see the animations moving all at once to help you select what you need.

The other folder is called the Master Animation Controller which is where all the various animation strips have been put together into one object that you can use to begin programming transitions into the various animations. Each one is organized from top to bottom in their directions.

Tested on Unity 2020.3.32f1
Please ensure the 2D Sprite Package is installed from the Unity registry and any other errors are handled when importing the unity scene. Otherwise animations may not work or Unity will automatically delete important files when running the scene.

The demo version of this project contains:

All of the animations in the General category: Crouch, Idle Default, Default Walk, Sit 1, Sit 2, and Sit to Crouch

The Gestures: Nod, Praise, Dignified Bow 1, and Wave

The Fighting Style: Hand to Hand

Each individual frame within the PNG animation strips are 32x32 for cropping in Unity's Sprite Editor and other programs.

Total number of PNG animation strips: 522

Over 8000 Sprites, some are repeating sprites such as the first frame of Default-Stand to signal the start and end of the many animation strips.

A few of the animations that cut off will need to be played in reverse order to transition back to a default standing pose, see the gestures Dab, Swath, and Present as an example.

these are pretty cool, any plans on more sprites like this?

Yes! I am planning to create a tileset and some enemies to go along with it to give game developers more 32x32 pixel art to work with. I plan to make it match this current style.

I can't wait! This looks amazing so far!
